Lorac Pro Palette for Fall 2012

Yesterday, I went to the brand new Sephora that opened up in my area. I was able to beg convince Mr. Olive into a few hours alone while he held down the fort. The Sephora is in the JCPenney store in our mall, which is a footprint of the stand alone stores. I met all the girls that were working and shared our love of all things glam. They were awesome and I kinda feel like we are going to be BFF’s!

I took my time wandering around and looked at everything. Several products stood out to me and were screaming, “Buy me, buy me!”, but I practiced restraint and only purchased a few things. One thing that was especially difficult to walk away from was the new Lorac Pro Palette. Lorac eye shadows are so silky smooth…like buttah. I just purchased the Lorac Unzipped Palette and am super impressed with the product, which begs the question…How many palettes does one need? I wish Lorac would have introduced this palette a year ago. It features sixteen shades and…wait for it…eight of them are mattes! Lovers of the UD NAKED palette screamed about wanting more mattes and when NAKED 2 was launched, many were bummed that it wasn’t a matte palette as speculated. Often times, mattes can be chalky and difficult to blend but the mattes in the Lorac Pro palette defy the chalk. While not as smooth as the shimmer shades, they are still very silky-soft.  The palette includes a mini size Behind the Scenes eye primer. I did my best covert photography skills with my phone in the store. I didn’t want to just blatantly snap pictures of all the products and then peace out. That usually doesn’t go over so well. Again, had this palette been available a year ago, it would be in my collection right now. I promised my other palettes some play time before adding any others so I’m holding up my end of the bargain. Note to self: don’t make promises to not buy any more makeup. Availability: Sephora $42
